Our family has been involved with horses, especially Polo, for three generations and has always offered good quality instruction for beginners and novice riders. We also have experience of Dressage and Jumping, where we believe a solid education in the basics of the sport leads to future success.

Our business has two distinct parts, Darmanin Equine Consultants (DEC) is our professional advisory branch, run by Mark Darmanin. Offering our recommendations and experience to owners and riders in a variety of equine sports is our primary work, and we also buy and sell horses and equine products. DEC can assist in transportation of horses to Malta working with both local and overseas agents. Mark Darmanin is also the stables polo coach.

Darmanin Stables is our instructional branch, co-ordinated by Lucy Darmanin, an accredited FEI Level 1 coach. Students are accepted from beginners upwards for riding instruction, and courses in stable management are periodically organised. We specialise in private and semi-private lessons and hacking, and as far as possible try to keep riders of similar ability together, to make sure that our clients enjoy their riding to the full.

Delve into our history with short biographies of family members and features that are unique to our stables, from our connections to polo in Ireland and Britain’s Royal Family. Past polo tournaments and matches that we have been involved in and personal letters are all showcased here. The stables newsletter will keep you up to date with current goings on.

Finally, take a look at our Photo Gallery, this will show you the story of our family, past and present in pictures. Contact us by E-mail if you want more information that is not available here. Please take the time to leave a message in our Visitor's Book.
