Incorporating Darmanin Stables and Darmanin Equine Consultants
For three consecutive years, Lucy Darmanin organised a summer school course in conjunction with San Andrea School. The six week course consisted of theory and practical riding, and at least three-quarters of the participants had never sat on a horse. The course ended with gymkhana games and team quiz and a presentation evening at the school.
Oliver was a student with special needs, but at the end of the course he had learnt to do a little rising trot and was fully able to join in with the gymkhana.
Sarah was one of the most nervous students we ever had, and being one of the tallest had to have one of the larger horses, Santos, who was 15.3 hh. However, she overcame her fears and participated fully in the course.
Tammy, Noni and Rio in the gymkhana games. Assisting during the course were close friends of the Darmanin family and riding school students.
