So, how have the stable riders been doing?
Dressage
With riders coming and going and many students now working with their own horses, a crop of Newcomers are now carrying the banner of the stable.
Lucy Darmanin is competing at Preliminary Dressage with new horses Sundancer and Tottillaz, while Joe La Rosa has returned to Darmanin stables and will also be competing with Sundancer in the future. Rita Buttigieg has also begun her dressage career with Samantha in Introductory dressage and hopes to ride Tottillaz in the future.
Junior Nicole Spiteri has competed in several Introductory events with Samantha, and will now move on to Sundancer. She will hopefully be joined by Rachel Buttigieg who will ride either Samantha or Sundancer.
There is also the possibility of friends Nicki and Amelie joining the ranks of competitors this year.
Jumping
Jumping has always been a forte of Darmanin Stables, and after a quiet couple of years, Junior Nicole Spiteri has now competed several times with Tammy. Starting at 50cm, Nicki this season is tackling the 70cm class.
Starting their jumping careers successfully this year are also Delphine Solem, Pia Kuivaleinen and Rita Buttigieg all at 60cm. Joe La Rosa was able to take part in a couple of 60cm classes also, and will hopefully be back in the future.
